Tyner-Ford Post 213 takes time to feed local veterans

VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News) – Tyner-Ford Post 213 of the American Legion Department of Mississippi took time to feed local veterans and their families on Wednesday in Vicksburg.

The group of veterans meet up once a month to help assistant veterans and their children with things such as spiritual assistance and financial support to patriotic programs.

TFP 213 has been around since 1946 and was formed as a group of black veterans who wanted to help serve their community. They received their full charter in 1949 and have remained loyal to God and their community every since.

Soon TFP 213 will be offering assistance to help veterans get fully vaccinated, free of charge.
