Underage youth hospitalized after brawl at Jacques’: Investigation underway

A 20-year-old was hospitalized after a physical confrontation at Jacques’ in the early hours of Friday morning.

Sometime after midnight, a fight broke out inside Jacques’, resulting in a young man being hospitalized at Merit Health River Region. According to Police Chief Penny Jones, the Vicksburg Police Department was not called to the scene; they were made aware of the incident on Friday morning and are currently interviewing witnesses to the crime.

The investigation is in its early stages, but it’s clear that the young man was underage and should not have been inside Jacques’ facility.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time. Vicksburg Daily News has attempted to reach out to Jacques’ but has not received a response at the time of this report.
