Unmarked Viagra seized at Port of Vicksburg/Jackson
Agents of U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently seized more than 27,000 unmarked Viagra capsules at the Port of Vicksburg/Jackson.
The capsules, estimated to have a value of some $663,000, originated in Hong Kong, reports the American Journal of Transportation. Agents selected the package for inspection to due improper marking.
“Our Officers are dedicated to identifying and intercepting these types of shipments that could potentially harm our communities,” Port Director Michael Morris told AJOT. “Consumers do not realize the risk they are taking when ordering prescription drugs online from other countries. These non-regulated drugs could cause health concerns or even death.”
We’ve clarified the article to indicate the Port of Vicksburg/Jackson includes Jackson.
