Here are the unofficial election results from Tuesday’s voting:
In the 2nd Congressional District Brian Flowers won Warren County but was defeated in his efforts to unseat Bennie Thompson.
The District 5 School Board Trustee’s position was won by Joe Loviza against first-time candidate Derrick Smith.
The District 1 School Board Trustee’s position is still undecided because of the 175 remaining votes to be validated and counted. While Brian Pratt has a large vote lead, to avoid a runoff he must win by 50% +1 vote. He is currently 14 votes ahead of the combined total of Bill Jeffers and Shane Quimby for the position. With 175 outstanding votes that make this race too close to call.
If a runoff is necessary it will be held in a special election on November 29.
