Utility customers in Mississippi were given a temporary reprieve in March from having service cut off due to nonpayment.

The Mississippi Public Service Commission suspended utility disconnections to assist those who may be having financial difficulties due to the COVID-19.

That suspension expires today, Tuesday, May 26, at 5 p.m.

If you have an overdue utility bill and have not made payment arrangements to pay it, your service may be cut off.

The suspension affected water, sewer, electric and gas services.
