Valentine sentenced to 25 years in the death of Katie Martin
Yesterday, Judge M. James Chaney Jr. handed down a 25-year prison sentence to Curtis Lee Valentine, 23, for DUI-Aggravated Controlled Substances, with 20 years to serve.
Valentine was found guilty Sept. 20 as a result of a November 2016 accident that caused the death of Katie Martin, 20.
Valentine was speeding on Moseley Gap Road in Warren County and lost control of the car. He and another passenger, Kahlil Brown, then 21, were injured, but survived.
