The Vicksburg Daily News All-County Defensive Team was selected by the player’s individual coach for their contribution to the 2022 season:
Porter’s Chapel Academy:
Hunter Simms: 63 tackles and 8 tackles for loss
Zach Ashley: 54 tackles, three sacks, eight tackles for loss
Daniel Llopis: 31 touchbacks, 47.6 yards per punt, 1 for 1 in extra points, and seven punts inside the 20-yard line
Jase Jung: 71 tackles, two sacks, seven interceptions
Hayden Beard: 67 tackles and eight tackles for loss
Jacob Rutland: 68 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and four sacks
Thomas Azlin: 73 tackles and two tackles for loss
St. Aloysius High School:
Jake Brister:49.6 yards per punt, 13 punts inside the 20-yard line, and three inside the five-yard line
Damien Reeves: 80 tackles, one interception, and over 200 rushing yards
Will Dowe:92 tackles, one interception, over 100 rushing yards
Pierson Smith:33 tackles and three tackles for loss

Roy Qualls: 44 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, four sacks, and two pass deflections
Garrett Orgas-Fisher: 82 tackles, six pass deflections, one forced fumble
