We are asking our readers to send us photos of those lost due to COVID-19 for memorial video

VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News)–Vicksburg Daily News is asking our readers to submit photos of loved ones they have lost due to COVID-19.

Our intent is to provide a memorial video to help raise awareness and recognize those, close to home, who have been taken due to the pandemic.

We ask that photos be submitted by email to info@vicksburgnews.com with the subject line “COVID Memorial”. Feel free to submit life dates and any thoughts you may wish to convey.

COVID-19 has hit communities, families and friends with such impact and quickness, that many have not had a chance to properly reflect and mourn. We wish to help their voices echo through the community and honor their memory.

We will be taking submissions over the next week until August 7.
