Vehicle hits bicycle rider in Warren County

A vehicle hit a bicycle rider in Warren County on U.S. Highway 61 South around 3:25 p.m. Friday.

The incident happened in the northbound lane just north of the Claiborne-Warren County line.

Agencies from both counties responded.

The rider of the bicycle is being transported to Merit Health River Region by a Vicksburg Fire Department Ambulance. His condition is not known.

The accident is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
