A vehicle landed on its roof after failing to negotiate a turn on Porters Chapel Road.

Just before 7 a.m., a red sedan traveling south on Porters Chapel failed to make a turn, hit a ditch, traveled between a power pole and the guy wires and landed on its roof. The vehicle was on its roof in the front yard of a residence in the 400 block of Porters Chapel near its intersection with Halls Ferry.

The driver was uninjured but VPDs Michael Battle requested an ambulance to have the driver checked out.

Traffic is traveling through the area at a safe speed. The accident is in a blind uphill turn near the church at Porters Chapel and Halls Ferry. Please use caution if you are traveling in that direction to allow first responders a safe working space.
