VHS basketball player Jaden Williams scored 15 points on Friday

Vicksburg High School boys basketball player Jaden Williams took to the floor on Friday in a Gators vs. Callaway showdown.

Williams scored 15 points in the tough game and played great defense through the night.

Williams and the Gators fought hard and managed to stay toe to toe with the competition, but ultimately did not prevail.

Although the Gators took a narrow 79-73 loss, they still managed to secure a home playoff game.

VHS is scheduled to take on Saltillo at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Vicksburg Junior High.
