No. 1 Deshaun Douglas dunks at practice against Dequan Phillips.

The Vicksburg High School Boys basketball team is prepared to take on Madison Central Jaguars tonight in Madison. The Gators (2-0) have been on a two-day break but still practicing to prepare for the game.

The game will be a non-conference game because the two teams are not in the same division anymore. 2012 was the last time the two played as divisional rival as  Vicksburg dropped down to division 4A in the 2013 school year.

Vicksburg is coming off a 59-57 victory against Terry High School where senior guard Cameron Butler scored 17 points along with five assists and seven rebounds. The Jaguars (2-1) are coming off a 61-25 victory against Mendenhall led by senior Justin Storm.

The last time The Gators and Jaguars met in 2018 resulted in a 58-52 Gator victory.

The game will be held tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Madison Central High.
