VHS freshman basketball teams had close games on Thursday
Listen to this articleVicksburg ninth grade boys and girl’s basketball teams had a good performance on Thursday against Northwest Rankin but came up a little short.
The boys loss a close one with the final score of 32-30.
Jadarius Henderson led the Gators with 11 points followed by Brycen Jones who put up 10 along with multiple rebounds. JT Gaines also knocked down a 3-pointer and Donovin Brown added four points while Daquan Warfield scored two points.
The Missy Gators took a 51-34 loss with Saudia Stewart leading with 19 points. Jordan Grace added 12 points and Jada Erwin amd Jordan Powell both put up six points.
The Gators will travel to Clinton on Monday.
