VHS grabs a 53-40 win over Madison Central

Vicksburg High School  boys basketball team pulled off a 53-49 win over Madison Central on Thursday night.

Jalen Banks popped things off with a three pointer for VHS as the Gators came out hot. The Gators hit  five three pointers in the first quarter coming from Banks, Jaylin Jackson, Davian Williams, Kameron Brown,  and Malik Franklin as they took a 22-9.

VHS were able to maintain their throughout the match as they went up 30-17 at halftime.

Coming out in the third quarter, Brown got a layup to score first as well as Franklin who grabbed a steal to add two as well.

Starting the fourth with a 43-33 lead, VHS had plenty of momentum to finish strong. Tyler Carter added four points late in the game.

Willams led the Gators with 13 points and Malik Franklin put up 11. Banks contributed 10 and Brown finished with seven.
