VHS JROTC accepting donations for Hurricane Ida relief

The Vicksburg High School JROTC members are accepting donations for Hurricane Ida relief. Members will travel to Louisiana on Oct. 23 to deliver supplies.

JROTC Captain Lela Darden stated she enjoys helping those in need.

“I feel good about helping people in need because I’ve always been able to do that,” stated Darden.  “I just love helping people.”

Those wishing to give to the program’s relief efforts are welcome to donate items at the Vicksburg High School JROTC building from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Items needed include:

• Cases of water
• Cleaning Supplies
• Hygiene Items
• Toiletry Items
• Non-perishable food items

Supplies are scheduled to be delivered next Saturday.
