VHS picked up five wins at the USM Basketball Camp

Vicksburg High School basketball team traveled to the University of Southern Mississippi over the weekend for a camp where they found much success.

The Gators went 5-1 as they picked up wins over Slidell, Mandeville, McComb, Vigor and St. Paul. VHS only took one loss which was in a close 55-50 battle with Oak Grove.

Over the impressive weekend, Malik Franklin averaged 21 points for VHS, while Kealon Bass and Davian Williams came in the clutch and averaged 12 points per game.

“I’m really looking forward to our growth and development during the rest of the summer,” Head Coach Kelvin Carter said.
