VHS wins class 5A powerlifting championship
VHS Powerlifting Team won the Class 5A State title, finishing first place at the state meet in Jackson.
The state title marks the first time VHS has won since 2006 as they are now coached by Jimbo Nowell.
Eight lifters from VHS traveled to Jackson for the meet today where they all had positive results that helped the Gators bring home a well deserved title.
Below is the list of lifters and where they placed in Saturday’s Championship meet:

- Nick Mickey 2nd
- Collin Johnson 4th
