Vicksburg approves fireworks contract for July 4

The City of Vicksburg is planning for a big fireworks extravaganza for the July 4 Independence Day holiday.

Friday, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a contract with Pyroman, LLC, based in Natchitoches, Louisiana, for July 4 Fireworks in the amount of $45,000.

The city added an addendum to the contract that will enable it to cancel the event three weeks before the event with no penalties if the budget will not allow it.
