Pinkston family honored for their $1 million donation to the Vicksburg Catholic School

The Vicksburg Catholic School held the “Dedication of the John Murray Pinkston Jr. Memorial Athletics Complex” ceremony on Friday night, shortly before the football game commenced.

This dedication served as a token of gratitude to the Pinkston Family for their generous $1 million donation which funded significant upgrades to the school’s facilities, spearheaded by Corey Pinkston. The substantial donation has already enhanced the football field, basketball gymnasium and various other amenities, including the newly renovated John Murray Pinkston Jr. Memorial Athletic Complex.

Members of the Pinkston family were in attendance at the event and took the opportunity to share a few words.

VCS staff also spoke, expressing their gratitude to the Pinkston family for their donation, all while a considerable number of community members witnessed the occasion.

The donation was made in memory of John Murray Pinkston Jr., a St. Aloysius graduate from 1947.
