Vicksburg Convention Center to host Mississippi Entrepreneurship Forum on April 6-7

Ole Miss’s Mississippi Entrepreneurship Forum will be held at the Vicksburg Convention Center this year on April 6-7.
“The Mississippi Entrepreneurship Forum provides a vital venue for entrepreneurs, economic developers, innovators and future business owners,” UM Chancellor Glenn Boyce said. “It is especially impressive how this event brings together colleges and universities to promote entrepreneurship, inform best practices and discuss community and economic development in Mississippi. This collaborative approach is essential to priming the conditions and fostering the talent for the emergence of breakthrough ideas that will lead Mississippi forward.”, according to the MEF website.
The event will host a variety of topics from Technology and Innovation to Mississippi’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and is led by members of the Ole Miss staff and ERDC.
The event will also be host to the 2nd annual NextUp Statewide Student Pitch Competition. The competition is designed to showcase and provide feedback to student-led startups. Once selected, the participants are paired with a mentor to help prepare them for the competition. The winner will receive a cash prize. The deadline to apply is March 10, 2022 and students can apply here.
