The Vicksburg Farmers Market has expanded from operating only in the spring and summer to the fall as well. Manager Rebecca Tarver says that there will be a fall market this year and hopes that more vendors will get exposure by being involved with Second Saturday as well.

“The fall farmers market will be held each second and third weekend in September and October, and the reason that we’re doing this is so that we can still be a part of Second Saturday,” said Tarver. “We’re doing the third weekend because we have a special vendor that comes in each month and we just wanted to continue that.”

Vender’s both new and old will be selling their wares at the fall market this year.

“We have a vendor from Delhi who sells produce, a young artist who is eight or nine who sells his paintings and our regular dairy vendor coming,” said Tarver. “We also have some vendors coming who will be selling jewelry, meats and other goods.”

If you or anyone you know is interested in becoming a vendor for Vicksburg Fall Farmers Market, Tarver encourages you to contact the organization through their Facebook page or call them at 601-801-3513 at least the Wednesday before the Farmers Market.
