Vicksburg firefighters graduate State Fire Academy
The ranks of certified firefighters with the Vicksburg Fire Department grew by two on Thursday with the graduations of Charlie E. Hill and Dalton Wright.
The duo were part of Class 191 which graduated from the intensive seven-week program on Thursday morning. Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann was the graduation speaker for the occasion.
Vicksburg Fire Chief Craig Danczyk said “ I am very excited for Firefighters Charlie Hill and Dalton Wright for completing the 7 week 1001-1&II program at the Mississippi State Fire Academy. It is an experience that will change your life, and I look forward to watching them in Vicksburg serving our community at the Vicksburg Fire Department. I would also like to congratulate the other graduates of class #191 at the MSFA.”
The course curriculum includes programs that exceed national standards for Fire instruction. The Mississippi State Fire Academy is a division of the Mississippi Department of Insurance.
