Vicksburg Gators win big in 36-20 victory over Canton
Vicksburg High School kept their playoff hopes alive with a big 36-20 comeback victory over Canton Thursday night.
After trailing 20-14 at halftime, the Gators defense didn’t give up a score in the second half of the game. The offense was able to get things moving by driving the ball down the field.
Shakori Regan scored four rushing touchdowns for the Gators in their win. Freshman quarterback Ronnie Alexander threw a long touchdown pass to Keveon Smith as he was falling to the ground, and the ball landed directly in his hands for the score.
The win for the Gators helps them out in trying to clinch a playoff berth.
Next week, they will have a forfeit win over Callaway who opted out of the season due to COVID-19 concerns.
