Vicksburg girls need help to attend Little League tournament
Next month, a group of Vicksburg girls will be traveling to Waco, Texas to represent Mississippi in the Little League Softball World Series. The event will air on ESPN+.
“This amazing opportunity comes with many expenses, and these girls could use any help they can get,” wrote Courtney and Jason Hart in a message to the Vicksburg Daily News. “This is a great opportunity for these youth and will make memories that will last a lifetime.”
The team has set up a Facebook donation page in the hope that the Vicksburg community will help cover the $12,000 cost of the trip, which includes entry fees, travel, hotel rooms, and meals for the team and their coaches.
“If you’d be interested in donating to their cause we would greatly appreciate it!” the Harts wrote. “No donation is too small! Thank you for your consideration!”
