Vicksburg High Gators dominate against Yazoo City

The Vicksburg High School football team effortlessly reached the end zone on Friday night against Yazoo City, ending the game 32-0.

Playing less than three full quarters, the Gators notched up five touchdowns, leading to a decisive 32-0 victory. Quarterback Ronnie Alexander showcased his skills by completing 6 out of 9 passes, totaling 137 yards, with two passing touchdowns and an additional score on the ground. Tyler Henderson continued to shine as a wide receiver, logging two receptions for 110 yards and securing two touchdowns.

DeCorey Knight Jr. contributed a touchdown, carrying the ball five times for 63 yards. Additionally, he made four receptions totaling 27 yards. Malik Montgomery also added a rushing touchdown to the score. Collin Johnson wrapped up the night with 40 rushing yards, Cedric Blackmore with 23, and Alex Jefferson with 45.

The defensive statistics were not available at the time of this report.

The Gators are scheduled for a bye week this upcoming Friday. With their recent victory, their season record now stands at 4-1.
