Vicksburg High’s ninth grade girls advance to Little Six semifinals

Playing tough all season has benefited the Vicksburg High School ninth grade girls basketball team. They are continuing their rise in the Little Six tournament after beating Ridgeland 39-37 Wednesday.
Vicksburg’s ninth grade head coach Deatra Robinson-Cable has been coaching the young Gators to victory. The team stayed focused and fought to the very end Wednesday to bring home the victory.
Cynia Johnson led the team in points, ending the night with 17 on the board. The Ridgeland Titans could not shut down her great athletic ability.
Terri Boyd also had a great game and scored 11 points while teammate Rodrianna Hall scored a crucial 9 points in the great win.
VHS will continue their season tonight, Thursday, as they go up against Germantown in the Little Six semifinals in an away game at 6 p.m.
