Vicksburg hosts runs, walks and bike rides throughout the fall

The beginning of fall heralds cooler weather, a scenic color change to foliage and the smell of pumpkin spice in the air.

For Vicksburg Sept. 23, the first day of fall, means lots of runs, walks and bike rides across the Old Mississippi River Bridge and throughout the city. Hundreds of people will trek the city for fun, to raise awareness for a cause or simply to enjoy the beautiful scenery that Vicksburg has to offer.

Listed below are some of the events offered throughout the city this year.

NAMI’s First Mental Health Awareness Walk

10th Annual Bricks and Spokes Bicycle Ride and Bike Your Park Day

Bridging the Gap Walk, Run, Roll and Stroll

31st Over the River Run 5-mile Race and 1-mile Fun Run

5th Annual Spooky Sprint 5K Run/Walk, 1-Mile Fun Run and Carnival

Hosted by: Vicksburg Catholic School

Reindeer Run 5K and 1K Fun Run
