Vicksburg Junior High kicks off its football season Tuesday

The Vicksburg Junior High football team, defending Little Six Champions, are kicking off their season Tuesday as they travel to face Madison Central.

The Gators are looking to continue their success from last season where they went undefeated with an 8-0 record. VJHS is led by head coach Larry Carter Jr. who has steered the team in the right direction over the years.

Last season, the Gators defeated Brandon in the Little Six Championship, giving Carter his first championship as head coach of the Gators. VJHS is expected to have another productive season this year as they are returning multiple players from last year’s squad who are more than anxious to get on the field.

Tonight’s game starts at 6 p.m. in Madison and both teams are in search for a victory.
