Vicksburg man arrested after shooting incident, faces multiple felonies
According to a press release by the Vicksburg Police Department, a Vicksburg resident was taken into custody for a shooting incident on Saturday, which led to multiple charges.
Keandre Harris, 21, of Vicksburg, was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, July 10 after he shot at a vehicle in the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard that had swerved to avoid a dog lying in the street.
One of his bullets shattered the driver’s window, causing the driver to leave the roadway and strike a fence. The driver was uninjured.
Harris was taken into custody after being found hiding in a nearby residence. One of the two handguns in his possession at the time of his arrest was found to be stolen.
Harris appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Monday, July 11, charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He received a $100,000.00 bond and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
