Vicksburg police arrested a man on drug charges after a traffic stop Tuesday.

Officers arrested Alexander Brent Thomas, 25, of Vicksburg, Tuesday at 1:40 a.m. after stopping his speeding vehicle on Highway 61 South. Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana inside the vehicle and subsequently searched the car and its occupants. Thomas was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
