Vicksburg man arrested for possession of stolen firearm


A Vicksburg man was arrested after being found in possession of a stolen firearm on Sunday.
According to a press release by the Vicksburg Police Department, On Sunday, at around 2:13 a.m., officers were checking the North Parking Garage and observed a disturbance. While officers were identifying the individuals, Christopher Williams, 23, was found to be in possession of a Springfield Armory 9mm pistol which was reported stolen in December 2021.
Williams was subsequently taken into custody and charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
On Monday, Williams appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter and was given a $50,000 bond and bound to the Warren Grand Jury.
