Vicksburg Military Park to begin enforcing Park Entrance Fees

The Vicksburg Military Park will begin requiring all visitors to have a park entrance or annual pass to enter the park starting March 1, 2022. The fees are $10 for an Individual Pass, $20 for a Private Vehicle Pass, $15 for a Motorcycle Pass, or an Annual Pass can be Purchased for $35. Park Passes will be available for purchase at the park entrance stations and Visitor Center by credit card only. Cash or check payments are no longer accepted.

The opening time for the Vicksburg Military park tour road will change from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. daily. This change is being made to better align with the Visitor Center hours. This change will also go into effect on March 1, 2022.

On February 8, 2022 the park resumed in-person collection of park fees to allow visitors to adjust to the new fee collection process. The park had been waiving fees during the pandemic.

• Tour Road: 8:30 a.m. – 5p.m. (Last entry at 4:40 p.m.) (Daily)
• Park Grounds: Sunrise to Sunset (Daily)
• Visitors Center: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Daily)
• USS Cairo Outdoor Exhibit: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Daily)
• USS Cairo Museum: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Thursday – Sunday)

Entrance Passes can be purchased online at www.recreation.gov or through the recration.gov app.
