Vicksburg Mustangs seeking more players to join their youth football team

The Vicksburg Mustangs are currently seeking more players to join their 5-12 year old youth football team.

The Mustangs are built from kids from all over Vicksburg as their season will begin in August. They will be playing other local youth teams including some in the Jackson and surrounding areas.

The 2022 season will be the first year in existence for the Mustangs where the player will be broken down by ages. There will be no registration fee to join the Mustangs but parents are expected to pay for uniforms and equipment.

The Mustangs are led by head coach Joel Forbes and assistant coaches AC Washington, Monty Jackson Desmond Jones, Keenan Watts, Michael ware, Derrick Tucker, Alton Burden, Quinton Reed, Drew Chouccoli, Akerius Jones, Cordell Valentine, and Ken’Darion Jones.

The Mustangs are seeking at least 40 more players to add to their current roster.

The Mustangs will also host a 7 on 7 tournament on June 4 for ages 5-16.
