Vicksburg native among three arrested on child sex charges

Vicksburg native Travis Wade, 48, and two other suspects have been arrested in Jackson County on child sex charges.

According to WLOX, in April, investigators were following up on information on the alleged sexual abuse of a 14-year-old-girl from the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services. The alleged abuse would have occurred when the victim was aged 4-12 while living in Biloxi and St. Martin.

Evidence was found after a search warrant was served at the home in St. Martin. Sexual abuse material owned by Travis Wade and other evidence was found that supported the victim’s claim.

Wade, along with two other individuals were taken into custody.

Wade was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. He has a bond of $500,000. Christina Baylis, 33, is charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of sexual battery. She has a bond of $750,000. Robert Baylis, 33, is charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of sexual battery. He has a bond of $750,000.
