Vicksburg native Chris Stamps to compete in MTSU Pro Day

Vicksburg native and former Warren Central High School star football player Chris Stamps will compete in the Middle Tennessee State University Pro Day on Monday.
The announcement came on Sunday when MTSU posted on their Facebook page that Stamps along with two teammates Robert Jones and Angelo Owens will be participating.
Stamps, who plays defensive back, will now have a chance to workout in front of NFL scouts where he will better his chances of being picked up by a professional team.
Stamps first started off his college football career playing for Mississippi State University but transferred to Northwest Mississippi Community College after his redshirt freshman season. He had 34 tackles, two forced fumbles, and one interception in 2017 with NWCC.
Stamps would spend the next two years playing for MTSU where he racked up 29 tackles, four pass deflections, and one interception.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the MTSU Pro Day was canceled last season, causing multiple players to postpone their workouts until this year.
Stamps is a 2015 graduate of Warren Central where he was a three star athlete and played under head coach Josh Morgan.
