Vicksburg native Norman Joseph hired as McGill-Toolen head coach

Vicksburg native Norman Joseph has been named the head coach of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile, Alabama.
the school made Joseph’s position official Friday at a news conference.
“There is great tradition at McGill,” Joseph told reporters. “I also think the thing that probably helped me as much as anything was my involvement at Catholic in Baton Rouge. They call it a community there because it is very close knit. I see so many similarities here at McGill. That is very positive for me. That was part of the attraction as well as the great tradition at McGill.”
Joseph spent last season as Catholic High School’s offensive coordinator in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has had coaching stints at many colleges including Belhaven, Louisiana College and Mississippi College. In 2009, Mississippi College achieved a 9-3 season with Joseph as head coach.
Joseph is a 1977 graduate of Mississippi State University where he played football.
