Vicksburg natives Mims, Luke and Theriot shined all season for Mississippi Delta baseball team
Three Vicksburg natives Haden Luke, Davon Mims and Kieran Theriot all had an outstanding baseball season at Mississippi Delta Community College.
Luke, former St. Aloysius standout, pitched a total of 50 innings for the Trojans as he come up with 65 strikeouts on the year. He also played infielder when he was not on the mound.
Mims, former Warren Central player, played outfielder for the Trojans where he became an impact player. He finished the season with a .277 batting average, 17 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and 23 run scores.
Theriot, former Flashes player, was a key athlete for the Trojans this year. He finished with a .266 batting average, 12 RBIs, one home run, 25 run scores and 11 stolen bases.
The Trojans finished with a 15-21 record this season and with the help of the three local athletes. MDCC should be a great competitor next season in junior college baseball.
