Vicksburg natives Vantrel Reed and Caleb Sterling celebrate a strong freshman season for Hinds CC
Former Warren Central high school baseball players Vantrel Reed and Caleb Sterling finished with a great year offensively with Hinds Community College this season.
Reed had a .313 batting average, 14 doubles, 4 home runs, 33 RBIs, 12 steals on the year for the Eagles which marked the end of his freshman season.
Sterling, who was on the mound for a good amount of time for Hinds, finished with a .309 batting average, 10 doubles, 4 home runs, 26 RBIs. He also threw 38 strikeouts by the end of the season.
Both players were coached by Sam Temple and finished with a 25-18 record  and they will continue to improve their game this offseason for the upcoming year.
