Vicksburg NET officers make a drug possession arrest; incident reports for March 17

Officers with Vicksburg Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested a woman for possession of ecstasy on Tuesday.

Candace Buck, 36, of Vicksburg, was arrested on March 17 at about 10:56 p.m.

Buck appeared before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court Wednesday, where she received a $2,500 bond and was bound over to the Warren County grand jury.

Other incidents reported for Tuesday, March 17:

Officers responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Pearl Street in reference to a residential burglary. at 3:01 p.m., where the victim reported that someone stole a Craftsman lawnmower and a Husqvarna chainsaw.

Vicksburg Police officers responded to two calls of shots fired on Tuesday:

  • At 12:48 a.m., officers responded to the area of National and Washington streets. No evidence of shots being fired was discovered.
  • At 10:42 p.m., officers responded to New Main Apartments, 2727 Alcorn Drive. The officers spoke with several tenants and checked around the buildings but found no signs of shots fired.
