Vicksburg PD arrest a burglar on Christmas Day
Vicksburg Police officers arrested Willie Myles, 36, for burglary on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2019.
Officers responded to a report of a man attempting to break into the Blackburn Motors storage facility at 100 Battlefield St. and found Myles trying to force his way to the building. The officers discovered items in his possession from a previous burglary after they took Myles into custody.
He appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court this morning before Judge Penny Lawson, where he was charged with one count of attempted business burglary and one count of business burglary. Lawson set Myles’ bond at $60,000, and he was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
The Vicksburg Police also responded to the following crime reports Tuesday, Dec. 24.
- Officers responded to an auto theft at a residence on Harris Street where the complainant reported her 2003 Ford Crown Victoria had been stolen earlier that afternoon.
- Officers responded to the South Parking Garage, 1405 Mulberry St., to take a report of auto burglary. The complainant reported some popcorn and a pair of socks were missing from the vehicle.
