Vicksburg PD make an arrest for a stolen firearm and respond to an auto theft Thursday

On Thursday, April 23, Vicksburg Police officers stopped Christopher Glass, 20, for a possible curfew violation.

A check of his vehicle revealed a firearm that had been reported stolen by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Glass appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Friday, April 24, before Judge Penny Lawson on one charge of possessing a stolen firearm. Lawson set his bond at $2,500 and bound him over to the Warren County grand jury.

Also on Thursday, officers responded to the Mississippi Materials Company at 4455 Rifle Range Road at 9:18 a.m., in reference to an auto theft. The victim reported that that he left his keys in the ignition of his 2015 Chevrolet Silverado and someone stole it. The vehicle was recovered later the same day.
