Vicksburg PD makes an arrest for the sale of cocaine

Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department arrested a man Wednesday, Aug. 19, for the sale of cocaine.

Melvin Cox, 60, of Vicksburg, was the latest arrest in an on-going narcotics investigation by the Narcotics/NET Team conducted to deter the sale of illegal drugs at the Fastway Smoke Break convenience store, 1217 Cherry St.

Cox appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court Thursday, Aug. 20, before Judge Angela Carpenter. She bound him over to the Warren County grand jury on a $40,000 bond.
