Vicksburg PD responded to burglary and theft calls Monday
The Vicksburg Police Department responded to the following incidents on Monday, Jan. 6:
At 1:42 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 4200 block of Halls Ferry Road in reference to a burglary. The complainant states someone stole handguns, rifles, a watch, and cash.
Officers responded to three auto burglary calls on Monday:
- At 4:31 p.m., a complainant came to the police department and reported someone stole a purse containing a wallet, driver license, credit and debit cards, and cash from a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu in the 400 block of Longview Street.
- At 5:13 p.m., officers responded to an address on Jackson Street. The complainant stated someone stole a diaper bag and wallet from a 2014 Nissan Rogue, which contained cash, a debit card, credit cards, a driver’s license and a social security card.
- At 6:26 p.m., officers responded to a second auto burglary on Longview Street. The complainant reported that someone stole a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson snubbed-nose revolver from a 2018 Nissan Rogue.
At 9:13 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Bering Street in reference to an auto theft. The complainant stated that someone stole a 1998 GMC Sierra truck from their driveway.
