Vicksburg PD responds to auto burglaries and calls of shots fired

The Vicksburg Police Department reports that officers responded to two incidents of auto burglary during the past week.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27, officers responded to the 1200 block of Price Street where the complainant said his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe had been broken into and his sound system, valued at $4,000, was taken.

On Friday, Nov. 29, officers responded to the 3300 block of Wisconsin Avenue where the complainant reported someone had broken into her Toyota Camry stealing two purses, cellular phones and over $800 cash.

Officers also responded to three calls of shots fired. In all three cases, officers found no signs of suspicious activity and no evidence of shots being fired.

The calls came in Thursday, Nov. 28, in the area of Elizabeth Circle and Alcorn Drive, Saturday, Nov. 30, in the area of Farmer Street and Maulding Drive, and Sunday, Dec. 1, in the 2700 block of Alcorn Drive.
