Vicksburg PD responds to two residential burglaries; Jones makes first court appearance

Vicksburg Police officers responded to two residential burglaries on Tuesday, Jan. 28:

  • Officers responded to a residence in the 2400 block of Lake Street at 4:47 p.m., where the victim reported that someone stole two televisions.
  • At 5:23 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of Polk Street where the victim stated $10.00 in change was missing.

The man arrested for an armed robbery of the Family Dollar store on Mission 66 in Vicksburg Tuesday made his initial court appearance Wednesday.

Kalif Jones, 22, is charged with one count of armed robbery. Judge Angela Carpenter set his bond at $75,000, and he was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
