Vicksburg Police are investigating a Monday night shooting

Vicksburg Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at the Liquor Store located 4112 Clay Street.

Just after 9 p.m., the operator of the Liquor Shop called Vicksburg Warren 911 reporting a disturbance with shots fired.

Shortly after, Meritt Health River Region notified 911 of a gunshot victim that had arrived at the Emergency Room.

Officers are on scene processing the scene at the Liquor Shop and a vehicle at the ER.

The hospital has been placed on lockdown. This is a developing situation. VDN will bring you additional information as it becomes available to us.
