Vicksburg police officers arrested Kentavious Ford, 17, Saturday on an outstanding warrant in connection with a shooting that occurred four days earlier.

Ford, of Vicksburg, was at Motel 6, 4137 Interstate 20 Frontage Road and was arrested by officers who were there on an unrelated matter.

Ford was named as a suspect in the Sept. 1 shooting near the intersection of First East and Adams streets where a vehicle was struck in the front driver’s side tire and the lower driver side door. He was charged with one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.

At his arraignment Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, Judge Angela Carpenter set Ford’s bond at $75,000 and bound him over to the Warren County grand jury.
