The Vicksburg Police Department is investigating several burglaries and an auto theft that recently happened within the city.

Auto Theft

On Friday, July 15, at 8:20 a.m., officers responded to Magnolia Marine Transport, 697 Haining Road, in regards to a stolen vehicle. The complainant reported a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban belonging to the company had been taken from the property.

Burglary

On Friday, July 15, at 8:31 a.m. officers responded to an address in the 5200 block of Highway 61 South in reference to a residential burglary. The victim stated someone entered the residence and took the television from the bedroom. Nothing else was missing inside of the residence. The approximate value of the television is $300.00.

Burglary

On Monday, July 18, at 2:49 a.m. officers responded to Southern Wine and Spirits, 1302 Mission 66, for an alarm. While checking the building, officers discovered a hole in the brick wall at the rear of the building. Several bottles of liquor were recovered behind the building.

Burglary

On Monday, July 18, at 3:11 a.m. officers responded to an address on National Street for a possible burglary. The homeowner reported that a 55-inch television, a 42-inch television, and a Brahmin purse were missing. The estimated value of all missing items is $835.00.
