Vicksburg Police Department rounds up six individuals on felony charges
Vicksburg Police Department Narcotics Division and Criminal Investigations Division have announced the successful round-up of six individuals on Friday, Feb. 24. Each of the defendants arrested had pre-existing felony warrants for separate charges.
Cartez De’Shawn Evans, 24, was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Weapon Possession by a Convicted Felon and Weapon Enhancement Involving Drugs.
Jonathan Christopher Phelps, 34, was charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
Devan Lamorris Benard, 36, was charged with Possession of Cocaine.
Clyde Beryl Stinson, 44, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
Anthony Duaine Long, 48, was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Weapon Possession by a Convicted Felon and Weapon Enhancement Involving Drugs.
Finally, Amber Dawn Mason Spencer, 43, was charged with Hindering Prosecution and Rendering Criminal Assistance.
All six individuals are from Vicksburg.
The six defendants appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in the Vicksburg Municipal Court on the same day and were each given a bond. Evan’s bond was set at $75,000, Phelps bond was set at $20,000, Benard’s bond was set at $20,000, Stinson’s bond was set $20,000, Long’s bond was set at $75,000, and Spencer’s bond was set at $20,000. All of the defendants were bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
