Vicksburg Police investigating early morning homicide 

Police are investigating an early morning homicide in the 1600 block of South Street in Vicksburg.

A shooting occurred at around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Vicksburg Police Chief Milton Moore.

The victim has been identified as DeMarcus Preacley, 32. Preacley succumbed to his wounds at the scene.

Chief Moore says no suspects have yet been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
